THUMB ON YOUR FACE
my thumb pressed against your palm
as both my arms leveled
in parallel to the sound
of your whisper
wishing for calm
delight and clarity
i looked up slightly
at the center of your forehead
trying to decipher
the fine crooked lines
that further defined
the character of your face
to which facets
did you chose to
channel through
for my thumb is now
resting on your chin
looking for your delight
and calm clarity
